   This video made me cry.

   You know I lost my brother to addiction ten 11 years ago.

   A friend I haven’t spoken to in years just contacted me yesterday about how he has been clean and sober for two years now. It was when his wife got pregnant that he had the drive to really battle his addiction.

   I replied to him that I sometimes wonder if my brother was expecting his first child, or already was a father, if that would have given him the dogged determination to push forward and live substance free. He had been to rehab many times, but I’d like to think that the love that a parent has for their child would have helped him overcome those obstacles and stay clean.

   sigh…

   Anyway, beautiful story. It is so cool that you had the foresight to do this for your children before they were even near conception.
